Everything you need to know to get SGS working for you:

  • Where does SGS inspect vehicles? – We inspect vehicles wherever it is convenient – home, office or any other location selected. Our inspectors work 8am to 5pm, and our customer service hours are Monday through Friday 8am to 9pm. After an inspection is ordered, one of our Customer Service Representatives will call the seller to schedule a convenient time and place. SGS is all about convenience for our customers.

  • How long does it take to get an inspection completed?– Usually two days, depending on the location of the vehicle and the time payment is received. SGS will attempt to post the inspection report within 24 hours of the inspection. Same day inspections are not available; however in most cases, we can accommodate next day appointments if the payment is received prior to 2:00 pm EST. Check the eBay auction schedule to be sure that there will be enough time to complete the inspection before the auction.

  • How long do inspections take? – Usually 30 to 45 minutes.

  • Can buyers and/or sellers order inspection reports? – Either buyers or sellers can request SGS Motorcycle Inspection Reports. The seller or a representative of the seller must be present at the time of the inspection. If you are the potential buyer, you MUST obtain the seller’s permission for us to contact them. We also require that the buyer provide the seller’s contact and motorcycle information.

  • What information will I have to have at the time of the inspection? – The motorcycle registration and proof of insurance must be provided to the inspector.

  • Will permission be required for the inspection? – The owner of the motorcycle or the owner's representative will be required to sign an “Authorization Agreement” giving us permission to inspect the motorcycle.

  • How do I order an inspection? – Just click on the “Order Inspection” button, and you will be transferred to PayPal to arrange for payment. After approval, you will be transferred back to us to order the inspection. One of our representatives will call the seller to set a convenient appointment for the inspection, or they can call the SGS Customer Service Center at 1-800-806-0868, Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. (Eastern Time) to schedule an inspection.

  • Will I have an opportunity to provide feedback on the SGS Inspection? – One of our customer service representatives may contact you for your comments. And, you can always send us a message at us_csc@sgs.com concerning the SGS experience. We welcome your questions and comments at any time.
