SGS Automotive Services, Inc. (“SGS”) knows you care about how information about you is used and shared, and we appreciate your trust in doing business with us. By ordering a Vehicle Inspection Report from SGS on eBay, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy. What Information do we Collect?
In general, you can access and review the SGS vehicle inspection Web site on eBay without disclosing or revealing to SGS any personal information about yourself. We want you to know how our vehicle inspections work and how to order our services.

Log Files.
We may log IP addresses (a unique number assigned to every computer on the Internet) in order to improve security, analyze trends and administer the site. We may track your movement within the site, the pages from which you were referred, access times and browser types. We only use this information in aggregate and do not link it to you personally.

Tracking Technology.
A "cookie" is a small data file that can be placed on your hard drive when you visit certain web sites. SGS may use cookies to collect, store and sometimes track information for statistical purposes and to improve the products and services SGS provides. These cookies do not enable third parties to access any of your personally identifiable information. We may share the information you enter with Ebay to better serve you. To do so, we may use a technology called clear GIFs, which automatically and securely transfer the information you enter. In the future, we may also use other similar technologies on the site for the same purpose. If we do so, we will modify our privacy policy accordingly. Use of Personally Identifiable Information.
We receive and store any information you enter on our Web site or give to us in any other way. If you decide to order a Vehicle Inspection Report we must have information about the vehicle and the Seller of the vehicle, including the Seller’s telephone number and the location where the inspection will take place in order to contact the Seller to schedule an inspection as well as your name and e-mail address if you are ordering the inspection so we can send the report to you electronically and follow up about our service. We often receive a confirmation when you open e-mail from SGS such as our inspection report. We do not receive any of your personal payment information; you give that to PayPal and are approved for payment by PayPal before we receive your order. At the Inspection.
Our inspector will collect information from you about the vehicle, including the vehicle’s identification number (VIN). The vehicle’s current registration documentation and proof of insurance are required before our inspectors can conduct a test drive. We will record that information but the registration and insurance information will not be disclosed to any third party. We take reasonable measures to protect all the personal information you provide at all times. The Vehicle Inspection Report will contain information about the condition of the vehicle at the time of the inspection, but will not contain any other personal information we collect except for what you have already posted on eBay (such as your name and the description of the vehicle).

How does SGS protect your information?
We have security procedures in the storage and disclosure of personal information which you have given us in order to prevent unauthorized access. However, the SGS site contains links to other Web sites such as eBay and PayPal. SGS does not control and is not responsible for the privacy or security practices or the content of these or other Web sites.

Will SGS disclose the information to third parties?
SGS does not sell, rent or deal in the information we hold about you. We may provide your information to, and make it available to other SGS Group affiliated companies or our third party service vendors with whom we have contractual relationships for the purpose of servicing or processing your inspection. These companies provide various services on our behalf such as customer service and web hosting. These vendors are not allowed to sell, rent or lease your personally identifiable information and are not permitted to use your information for any secondary purpose.

SGS may accumulate and sell, rent, share or otherwise disclose information about vehicles but such information will not contain any personally identifiable information.

Exceptional Circumstances.
Please note that if SGS Automotive Services, Inc., or any of its lines of business, is sold or disposed of as a going concern, whether by merger, sale of assets or otherwise, the relevant customer database of SGS could, in whole or in part, be sold as part of that transaction. In such transactions, client and vehicle information may transferred but such information will be subject to the promises made in any pre-existing Privacy Policy in effect when the information was obtained. We also may have to release personally identifying information when it is necessary to comply with judicial or other government subpoenas, warrants or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SGS or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection.

Vehicle Inspection Services.
If you choose to visit SGS-ebay.sgsauto.com your visit and any dispute over privacy or other issues will be subject to this Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.

Notification of Changes.
If we decide to change our Privacy Policy, we will post those changes on our site by identifying them as changes to our previous Privacy Policy. We will identify those changes for at least 60 days so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
